Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D.
Isa is the lead teacher for the Huna programs. She was exposed to the principles of Huna at the age of the three when she was enrolled in one of the first Hula Halau to accept Caucasian students. She studied Hula intensively for 7 years before her family left the Islands. During that time, she was most strongly drawn to ancient Hula where she was exposed to the deeper spiritual roots of the Hula tradition. The plants, the sea and the winds of Hawaii were her constant companions during this formative time, and she carried their influence with her as she deepened her understanding of culture and spirituality in her academic training. She holds degrees and certificates in transpersonal psychology, cultural anthropology, comparative religion, hypnotherapy, and transformational healing. She has spent over 30 years studying spiritual, therapeutic, and meditative techniques from around the world.
Isa is the creator of Depth Hypnosis, a groundbreaking therapeutic model that incorporates elements of the Huna tradition. Dr. Gucciardi is also the founding director of the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a non-profit educational organization where she offers trainings in Depth Hypnosis, Applied Shamanism, Buddhist Psychology Studies, Transpersonal Studies and Integrated Energy Medicine.
Dr. Gucciardi speaks five languages, and has lived in 11 countries. She maintains an active Depth Hypnosis practice in San Francisco where she incorporates the process of Ho'oponopono into family and community conflict resolution.
